Exclusive pumping companies and a U.C.L.A. researcher say they’ve sued a Texas company over allegedly stealing their equipment.
The lawsuit filed Thursday in U.K. Supreme Court claims that the company that owns the pumps, Intex Energy Services LLC, is “not in a position to properly manage its assets.”
It says the company’s business is now threatened by the federal government, the EPA, the Food and Drug Administration and state regulators.
The suit was filed by a Houston-based company called Intex Inc., which is based in Austin.
The company says its pumps were used by the National Park Service and the U.N. to protect sensitive sites in Yellowstone National Park from harmful gases and pollutants.
The Park Service has said it will review the lawsuit.
A spokeswoman for the EPA didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
