Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie has signed veteran defensive lineman Mya Wilson to a three-season contract.
McKenzie also signed veteran wide receiver/kick returner John Ross.
Oakland has struggled to find consistent depth at defensive end, with only three of the top 20 selections being defensive ends.
Mya has been the team’s top player at the position, with five sacks, 12 tackles for loss and one forced fumble.
He is also the first player since 2014 to be named the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Mya is the Raiders’ second-leading tackler with 17.5 tackles for a loss, and his seven sacks are the most since Derek Wolfe’s 12 in 2013.
The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder was a seventh-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons in the 2012 NFL Draft.
He has made 28 career starts at defensive tackle and has earned Pro Bowl honors.
