There are so many things you can do to keep your fountain pump in good working order.
Here are some simple tips to keep it running smoothly: Keep it in a cool and dry place, in a well ventilated area and away from heat and moisture.
Pumping water at a rate of 1 to 2 gallons a minute will keep it from becoming overly hot or dry.
When you pump the water, always pump at a shallow angle to avoid water getting stuck.
The water will move as it passes through the nozzle and should not overflow into the reservoir.
Do not use too much water.
Pump it for one minute or so before stopping.
If you do not feel a difference, then you have not used enough.
You should not pump it for more than five minutes, as the pump will stop working.
Pump the water slowly at the top of the pump nozzle.
If the water is too hot, turn off the pump for a few seconds.
Pump at a steady pace.
It will slow down the pump.
You may want to pump the pump continuously for 15 minutes or so.
If it does not get much use, replace the pump and keep using the water from the reservoir to the pool or your pool hose.
If your pump is not working, do not worry.
Pump water again.
Pump out the reservoir and keep it away from the pool hose until it stops working.
Then you can start pumping again.
